Welcome to the Mountain Film Festival Screenplay Competition. The Call for Entries for the upcoming 2017 Mountain Film Festival is now open. Click on the FilmFreeway button below to enter your screenplay.

Awards are presented to an Overall Grand Prize Winner along with First Place through 5th Place place winners and 10 Official Finalists.  We accept both feature length and short screenplays into competition.

Screenplay Competition Rules and Regulations


Screenplay Competition entrants retain all rights and intellectual property rights to their work.

All entries must be submitted through FilmFreeway.


Screenplays must be unproduced.

You may submit multiple entries; each screenplay submitted must include its own separate entry and entry fee.

A copy of your screenplay must be submitted (in English) and in standard screenplay format.

Scripts should be no longer than 180 pages.


Submissions must be the original work of the applicant.  We do accept adaptations.

 
The Mountain Film Festival will not share your script with any third-parties outside of our official judges.

Script materials will not be returned.

Liability
You agree to indemnify us and hold us and our employees, owners, affiliates, and partners harmless from all claims and liability associated with your participation or entry to the Mountain Film Festival.

The selection committees' and juries' decisions are final.

Mountain Film Festival reserves the right to make any necessary changes in regulations or scheduling

Screenplays submitted to our competition are reviewed by our judges, which read and evaluate each screenplay fairly and thoroughly, looking for the best in new American and International screenwriting.

Screenplay
s should be submitted in English.

Winning projects are encouraged to promote and mention their award as well as the Mountain Film Festival
in all promotional materials.

As of the 2011 edition, the Mountain Film Festival is now an awards based online event. Awards are announced on our official website as well as promoted via Internet.
